"Never has the boundary between good and evil been thinner than when it comes to the image of the woman. For centuries, women have been adored, idolized and worshiped to the point of being feared. Extreme beauty, above all, was associated with witchcraft and seen as the devil's creation to seduce men. Women have always had that dual image, that of an innocent and pure being and that of a bewitched creature which only aim is to fool men. 'Belladonna' is a sculpture that enhances a duality, that of a woman who is both evil, but also the victim of what frames her as evil: the male's gaze."
